New End-of-Season Event Announced

πŸ“° The news: Global Cheer and Dance has announced Global Cheer Worlds, a new end-of-season competition set for Myrtle Beach, SC. Promising β€œa world-class event, affordable pricing, and guaranteed two-time performances,” the event seems to be open to all levels and divisions.

🌟 Why it matters: The space for end-of-season competitions is getting more crowded. Independent and non-independent producers are launching new events, each hoping to attract more teams. This announcement adds to the growing list - just a few months after we covered another new, truly global, event.

πŸ“… What’s next: Global Cheer Worlds will run May 1–3, 2026. So far, bids can be earned from five U.S. event producers, with three types of bids available. As more alternative competitions pop up, the big question remains: which events are here to stay?

πŸ’¬ Your turn: Are more end-of-season options needed? Should every event with "World" in the name count as a world championship? Or should there be just one? Reply to this email or share on social!
